About Us

Starting in June 2015, Lawrence & Mamie Parker began hosting a dance party at one of the local recreation centers (La Hacienda) in The Villages. The dance party – dubbed “Uptown Jammin’ – started out as a way for residents and the general public to gather and strut their stuff. The following year the venue changed to its current location at the Sea Breeze Receation Center.

Bill Rascoe joined Lawrence in June 2016, at which time the duo started LP Sound Productions. Together with Mamie, Bill’s wife (Flo), and the rest of the Uptown Jammin’ crew (to be introduced later), the group has achieved success throughout the years as the preeminent dance party in The Villages and the surrounding tri-county communities.
